Painting inspired by Feliks Kaparchuk. This is one of my favorites inspired by a teacher. First, he visits Miami and sees mimosa blossoms for the first time. Then, along his walk, he spots some unknown wildflowers. As a result, these flowers give him the idea to create his own wildflowers. Butterflies of many species inhabit the islands and some are migratory, like these Monarchs. Moreover, others, like the zebra butterflies, are native. An amazing number of butterflies that call this area of Florida home can be found nowhere else in the United States!
